What if the most dangerous thing about being wrong is how right it feels? Most of us know what it’s like to be wrong about a decision, a relationship, a belief, or even ourselves. But being wrong about God feels different. It can be harder to see, harder to admit, and harder to change.

In Acts 7, Stephen stands in front of people who are certain they understand what God is doing. They know the Scriptures. They know their history. They care deeply about truth. And still, Stephen says they have missed the very thing God has been doing all along.

That kind of story raises uncomfortable questions. Can sincere people still be wrong? Can religious certainty become resistance?
