What is God like? It’s a question that people and religion have wrestled with forever. Is he an old man with a beard sitting on a cloud? Is he the vengeful and angry God of the Old Testament? Often our uncertainty about God is rooted in inconsistent ideas of what he’s like that we were taught when we were kids. But if those childish ideas of God are incorrect, how do we actually know what God is like? Who decides? What is the authority that resolves our doubts and uncertainties? Jesus spoke about this and gave us a template we can use to process our questions and doubts about God.
