We all know what it’s like to have unmet expectations. Like when you are at a restaurant and they get your order wrong. Or when you take on a small home improvement project only to discover that it’s not so small after all. You think things are going to go one way, but they go another. These unmet expectations can cause us to doubt things we thought were true. If unmet expectations on relatively small things can cause uncertainty, what about our unmet expectations on big and important things…like God? Or our faith? What about when Jesus doesn’t meet our expectations?

MATTHEW 11:2-6
