The Big Give: $13,500 to Build a Home and Restore Hope
The Need
This fall, you have the chance to change lives in a lasting way. Our community faces a growing need for safe, stable housing—and together we can meet it.
The Project
Home Sweet Home Ministries is building The Bridge Shelter Village, a beautiful new community of tiny homes that will provide warmth, dignity, and a fresh start for people experiencing homelessness in Bloomington-Normal. These homes aren’t just structures; they’re places of belonging where neighbors can rebuild their lives.
Our Role
Compass Church is partnering with HSH to make this vision a reality. We are raising funds not only for construction but also for the furnishings and essentials that transform a house into a home: beds, desks, bedding, microwaves, and more.
The Goal
Our goal is clear: raise $13,500 to fully fund one complete tiny home. That amount covers everything—construction, furniture, and the key supplies every person needs.
How You Can Help
Every gift matters:
- $10 provides a trash can
- $560 purchases a bed and mattress
- $10,000 covers most construction costs
Whether your gift is small or large, it provides more than shelter. It gives someone a safe place to sleep, a door that locks, and the hope of a new beginning.
Join Us
Final gifts will be collected on Sunday, September 21. Join us that day as we celebrate what God is doing through our church to love our neighbors with compassion and action.
Together, we can meet this goal. Together, we can make one tiny home a reality—and give our neighbors a place to belong.
