Have you ever felt like the people you look up to, especially spiritual leaders, might not be as genuine as they seem? It’s like they have a public persona and a private one, and sometimes, they don’t match up. We call this difference hypocrisy. It can leave us feeling confused and cause us to wonder if what we’ve been taught to believe about God is incomplete, or even totally wrong. But, is it reasonable to dismiss everything we believe because of this? What exactly is hypocrisy, and how does it affect our faith?
