Providing clothes for kids in need.

When a child is taken out of their home and placed in foster care it is often with nothing but the clothes on their backs. And while foster families are provided funds for the children in their care, the reality is that those funds are often late and don’t go very far. As a result, children in foster care regularly end up with whatever second hand clothes are affordable and available.

There are also children that suffer from being materially poor. Some families have children in need of clothing because of poverty, job loss, or other difficult circumstances.

Compass Closet is a place where families in any type of need in the McLean County area can come and get new clothes for their children. Through the donation of brand new clothes, partnerships with local businesses, and financial support, we are able to stock a closet of new clothing necessities for children of all ages.

All clothes are available for free or by donation, depending on each family’s need. Our heart is that no family leave empty handed if they have children who need clothes.
